Every year, NFL Network’s “Top 100 Players” list highlights the most talented athletes in the NFL. This honor is a lot more important since it’s chosen by players themselves. The current NFL players cast their ballots based on their performances and the performance of their counterparts in the previous season. This is creating their annual ranking. Again it’s there is a strong representation of the San Francisco 49ers are well represented with five players earning their spot among the top NFL players.
Here’s a look into each 49ers player who is as part of”the “Top 100 Players of 2025” list:
No. 16. LinebackerFred Warner
Widely considered to be one of the top linebackers of the NFL, Warner continues to keep San Francisco’s defense in check through his outstanding playmaking and leadership. As he enters his seventh season Warner is a four-time First-Team AP All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowler continues to be the lifeblood in the 49ers defense. For 2024, Warner scored 131 total tackles with 5 tackles to loss as well as four forced fumbles and two interceptions (including the 45-yard pick-six) and he earned four consecutive Pro Bowl selection.
No. 31 Tight EndGeorge Kittle
A league-leading and most exciting players at his position Kittle remains the mainstay of San Francisco’s offensive and is in the ninth NFL season. The 2024 season “The People’s Tight End” scored 78 receptions, 8 touchdowns and 1,106 yards and earned the sixth Pro Bowl nod and a second-team AP All-Pro selection.
No. 45 TackleTrent Williams
Affirmed to be among the NFL’s best offensive linemen Williams plays as the mainstay to the 49ers offensive line. He’s about to enter fifteenth NFL season. Williams was able to only allow one sack over his 10 games in the 2024 season. Williams is a Pro Bowler 11 times and 3-time AP All-Pro selection. This is Williams his 12th appearance at the NFL Top 100, with his first appearance going back to 2013.
No. 57 (Defensive) LinemanNick Bosa
Bosa continued to be a key player on the 49ers defensive line in 2024. He finished his regular-season campaign with 9.0 sacks 52 total tackles, 15 tackles loss and 24 quarterback catches over 14 games, while getting five Pro Bowl selection. Over the course of his professional career Bosa earned 62.5 sacks 2,61 total tackles, an 87-tackle for loss along with 165 quarterback runs. He was the past Defensive rookie of the year as well as his 2022 Defensive Player of the Year. In addition, Bosa was named First-Team All-Pro in the same year.
No. 73 Running BackChristian McCaffrey
The selection to the “Top 100 players in 2025” is yet another honor for the dual threat defender, who is among the NFL’s top and most admired offensive players. After a remarkable 2023 season where he topped the NFL in the number of scrimmage yards (2,203) and touchdowns total (21) as well as earning AP Offensive Player of the Award, McCaffrey’s 2024 season was cut short after only four games. However, even with a limited amount of action McCaffrey racked up 202 rushing yards and receiving yards of 146.
